Real-Madrid-Juventus 1-3

The day after the unexpected success of Roma against Barcelona (3-0), it was the turn of Juventus to come to shake the Real on his land. The Piedmontese did all well and they were about to snatch a well deserved extension before Cristiano Ronaldo came to annihilate all their efforts by turning a penalty in the additional time.

Juventus needed only two short minutes to take advantage of the mark. Mario Mandzukic hit the ground for his first touchdown ball by picking a perfect Sami Khedira cross from the head. The feat was in progress.

After taking the advantage, the merit of the Turinese was above all to resist the onslaught of opponents. Because if Higuain (7th) and Mandzukic (15th) could have ensured the break quickly, it was Real that was the most threatening during the half-hour that followed the first goal. Gareth Bale (10th), Marcelo (30th) and Isco (35th) all came close to equalizer, and the latter also saw a goal denied for offside (14th). The storm did no damage, and after this weak time, Juventus left the front to sting a second time. Mandzukic, still him, consolidated a little more the dream juventino by converting a service of Stephen Lichtsteiner (37e).
